Go fishing in the morning and Peshtigo white water rafting in the afternoon! Thornton's Resort provides some of the best Class A musky lakes in the state of Wisconsin. Located in Marinette County, Thornton's Resort is only a short distance from some of the best fishing in the area. You are able to fish for walleye, bass, northern pike, and muskellunge in one of the 204 lakes and flowages or 100 miles of the Menomonee River that are found in this part of the state. If trout fishing is your forte, enjoy fishing in the highest concentration of trout streams in Wisconsin.

After your Peshtigo River rafting adventure, spend some time at Thornton's Resort and Campgrounds.

Our large campground features individual water and electric sites, as well as individual and large, wooded group sites. Group camping is $6.50 per person per night.

There are sand volleyball courts and horseshoe pits for you to use, as well as cut firewood available for sale or delivery. All sites provide ample parking for all of your vehicles.

MODERN COTTAGES
If traditional camping isn't your style, Thornton's Resort and Campgrounds offers 3 (2)-bedroom modern cottages with showers, gas heat, television, bed linens, cooking utensils, Stove, Refrigerator, microwave, coffe makers, and carpeting throughout. We also have two 3 bedroom cabins that can sleep up to 10, fully furnished and carpeted. Just bring your own towels.

Adjacent to our campgrounds is Thornton's Resort. Everything from white water rafting, swimming beach, lake fishing, large bar with entertainment, Peshtigo River boat rentals, and hiking are within easy walking distance of each other and the resort. Providing electricity, water, flush toilets, and an enlarged shower facility, our resort accommodates most of the amenities of home. Our large bar with live music or a D. J., pool tables, video games and dart machines, provides fun for the entire family. For your convenience, horseback riding, golfing, hiking, site seeing, and the best waterfall tour in the state of Wisconsin are within a short distance from Thornton's Resort.
